Flow to renewable energy
Reducing reliance on the grid.
Supporting Metallink Fluid Power Systems with their Renewable Energy Technology Review.
Our client wanted to reduce emissions and explore renewable energy options but needed clarity on where to begin
Their priority was understanding whether on-site solar PV could reliably support their high-demand manufacturing operations without disruption.

The challenge
Metallink Fluid Power Systems operates a busy manufacturing facility with substantial electricity needs. The challenge was identifying the most practical and effective way to integrate solar PV into existing infrastructure while maintaining uninterrupted production.
What we did
We carried out a full renewable energy technology review to understand the feasibility and impact of on-site solar PV. This included:
- Assessing the site’s physical, electrical, and operational suitability for installation
- Modelling projected energy generation and carbon reduction outcomes
- Exploring system options across multiple providers to compare technical designs
- Securing a trusted delivery partner to design and install a bespoke solution for the site
How it helped
The project provided Metallink with clear, evidence-based guidance — and ultimately supported them all the way through to installation. Their tailored solar PV system has now been successfully deployed and is generating renewable electricity directly into their operations. Metallink is reducing emissions, lowering reliance on the grid, and advancing confidently on its decarbonisation pathway with a fully operational renewable energy solution in place.
