Reflect and Recognise
A clear, confident step forward.
We supported H&T Pawnbrokers with their Greenhouse Gas Emissions Measurement.
Faced with the pressure of TCFD reporting deadlines and dispersed data, our client wanted to go beyond simply submitting numbers.
Our client wanted to truly understand their emissions and build a foundation for future progress. Together, we brought everything into focus: defining clear reporting boundaries, aligning timelines, and translating complex data into meaningful insights. What began as a daunting task became a clear, confident step forward, turning climate disclosure into a powerful tool for action and change.

The challenge
Our client needed to report their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in line with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) requirements, ahead of their financial reporting deadline. With data held across different teams and some uncertainty about what should be included, they wanted to approach the task thoroughly to generate accurate and meaningful results. Keen to build a strong foundation for future reporting, they sought expert support to bring everything together accurately and on time.
What we did
We created space to pause, plan and move forward with clarity. Working closely together, we set clear reporting boundaries and built a timeline to meet their financial reporting schedule. We gathered data on all relevant scope 1, scope 2 and upstream scope 3 activities, and converted it into an emissions inventory following recognised standards, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. We translated complex calculations into clear insights, making sure every step was understood and supported – never rushed or overwhelming.
How it helped
By the end of the project, our client had a complete, TCFD-aligned GHG inventory that they could confidently disclose within their annual reports. Beyond simply meeting the deadline, they gained clarity on where to focus future efforts, from which suppliers to engage with on data improvements, to where internal actions like energy optimisation, business travel and commuting policies could have the greatest impact. What once felt daunting became manageable and repeatable, giving them the space and insight to move forward with purpose.
