Your Energy Bill is made up of two group of costs…
These are also called the commodity costs. This is the actual cost of the fuel that has been consumed which is a tradable commodity for example gas or electricity.
Pause People Tip:typically what happens to the gas price, electricity will follow.
Also known as the non-commodity costs.
These type of charges originate from the government and other third parties. These tend to be compulsory charges that cover the cost of delivering electricity to your site, balancing the energy grid and all energy network costs. Also there are taxes and levies that support the development of renewable energy and projects to reduce carbon emissions.
Pause People Tip: There are ways to help eliminate some of these costs. An example is generating your own electricity would remove some of the charges. Please reach out to us if you would like to learn more.
